Tuesday night's SHM program guide, 26 Nov.
Hi everyone,
These shows are educational and informative on the current events in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, Sudan, American empire, and the world. Exploring ideas to stop genocide, militarism, and climate disasters; also how to heel planet Earth and implementing peace. Facts are: Palestinians have no partner in peace negotiations!; The ICJ ruled that Palestinian territory is illegally occupied; The UNGA overwhelmingly voted to end Israeli occupation of Palestine—of course Israel, US, and western European governments voted against it. And today, US was the only country to veto UNGA "Immediate ceasefire" resolution! Still, Israeli Occupying Forces (IOF) are conducting genocide in Palestine unabated. The American Empire keeps breaking “The rules-based international order”--do as I say not as I do— its imposition on the rest of countries, to maintain its hegemony; The US war policies on andabout Russia, Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Iran, and Israel will remain on the same track no matter what party controls the government. The global South is determined to implement “Law-Based International Order” to hold every country accountable. These are trying times for humanity: war, famine, climate change. What’s our strategy to counter fascism and genocide? The Democratic Party strategists justification of the presidential defeat is that the party had gone too far to the left, hubris; the progressive organizations on the ground are telling us to organize and be ready for the next election. We need to defend the democratic institutions now that the fascists are in the halls of power! The Neoliberal policies have rendered themselves obsolete! To counter fascism and fascist’s policies, we need a social-democratic platform! These are issues of our times that require our utmost attention!
Hours 1 & 2) A panel discussion organized by Haymarket Books on the topic of “Where do we go from here? A post-election assessment” from 21 Nov. The Panelists are: Chenjerai Kumanika, Naomi Klein, Astra Taylor, and Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor who will be introduced by Anthony Arnove.
