Wednesday night's program guide for Something's Happening at Midnight, 6 Dec
Hi everyone,
Hope you are well.
I am dedicating time to explore the possibilities of peace in Palestine by bringing analyses of experts on Palestine-Israel, Middle East region, and the American Empire. We must demand immediate ceasefire now, release all political prisoners and hostages, and recognition and implementation of the 1967 UN 242 resolution; OR implement a One-state solution.
The bombing of Gaza, Palestine, has turned the “open air prison” city into stone age rubble according toreports. Today, city of Khan Younis was attacked. As of today, the death toll has exceeded 16,000, more than 7000 of them are children; unknown number of injured; and more than 7,000 people, 4700 of whom are children and women, are still missing and believed to be under rubble or their fate is unknown. There are close to 10,000 Palestinian prisoners in Israel, a large portion of them are less than 18 years old andwomen. More than 50 journalists have been targeted killing. Today, 22 family members of Al Jazeera journalist Moamenal-Sharafi were killed. According to UN, 1.9M, 80% of Palestinian population, have been displaced. Almost 70% of all buildings, including hospitals, have been destroyed and more than 250,000 buildings have been damaged.
The sale of KPFK's building has not been finalized yet; however, the station will conduct one day (maybe two) parking lot sale of its "surplus" books, CDs, DVDs, and other fund drive premiums on 16 Dec. Most probably, it will be a fire sale.
