Wednesday Night

Tonight's program guide for Wednesday, 21 June.

Tonight is Wednesday night and it is public affairs programming with a jam pack bunch of fantastic and excellent shows.

Hour 1) a talk by Dave Emory, FTR 1291, How many lies before you belong to the lies?, part 23. Dave Emory produces a weekly FTR program, which has been broadcast for more than 30 years, examines the interconnecting historical processes, people, and institutions which shape the complex geopolitical landscape, exploring the roots and movement of fascism at home and abroad. Here’s Dave Emory

Hour 2) The Ralph Nader Radio Hour on the topic of “Tribute to Ford, Robinson, and Belafonte” with guest professor Randall Kennedy, paying tribute to Glenn Ford of Black Agenda Report, human rights champion, and legendary actor, singer, and activist, Harry Belafonte, from 17 June.

Hour 3) The Chris Hedges Report show; Chris Hedges is in conversation with Green Party candidate Dr. Cornel West on why he is running for president and offers us a chance to fight back against the ruling duopoly. Dr. West is a philosopher, professor, a radical Christian Theologian, and an author. Dr. West’s achievements are too vast to mention all of them here: he is people’s philosopher and has participated in antiwar, peace, and social justice movements in his entire life.

Also, Chris Hedges Report podcast: Listen to this Article: "The Imminent Extradition of Julian Assange and the Death of Journalism" from 20 June. Julian Assange’s legal options have nearly run out. He could be extradited to the U.S. this week. Should he be convicted in the U.S., any reporting on the inner workings of power will become a crime.
