Tonight's program guide.

Hour 1) Dr. Cornel West on the “Historical philosophy of WEB Du Bois on the “Souls of black folk”. Part 7 of 9. This is a continuation of where we left off two weeks ago.

Dr. West really needs no introduction but just in case we have new listeners, Dr. West is a philosopher, professor, a radical Christian Theologian, and an author. Dr. West’s achievements are too vast to mention all of them here: he is people’s philosopher and has participated in antiwar, peace, and social justice movements in his entire life.

Dr. Cornel West taught a summer session at Dartmouth College in 2017 on the topic of the Historical Philosophy of WEB Du Bois of The Souls of Black Folk and I am very pleased to bring you these lectures.

Hour 2) Scholars' Circle show on the topic of Sudan's War; this episode is from May 7, 2023. In April, war broke out in Sudan. How much is the war driven by the power battle between two generals and how much is it embedded in the relationship between Khartoum and marginalized areas of the nation?

Now, we know that Palestinians have no partner in peace negotiations! The ICJ has ruled that Palestinian territory is illegally occupied. And furthermore, the UNGA has overwhelmingly backed and voted with Palestinian resolution to end Israeli occupation: of course Israel, US, and a few other countries, including Europeans, voted against it. The Harris/Walz campaign continues to lauding the narrative and myths of rape on Oct 7th and two-state solution while Israeli occupying forces conduct genocide in Palestine. The American Empire keeps breaking “The rules-based international order”--do as I say not as I do— its imposition on the rest of countries, to maintain its hegemony; the global South is determined to change it to “Law-Based International Order” to hold everycountry accountable.
